You’re not far off — there was a blatant missed slashing call on Leddy by Williams leading to the goal by Martinez; But more importantly, Carters (?) goal that tied the game at 2-2 was high and offside, as was the first goal IIRC.

I actually didn't see it until a year later. I was doing orientation at Florida State at the time and there was no service in the dorm so I couldn't watch. I could get enough service to refresh the ESPN app though. Once I saw they lost, I went to sleep. Never saw the OT goal until a year later when I finally watched it.

Good signing for Chicago and also nicely done by Martinez doing this. He's already a Cup winner so he has the ability to do this now

I'm sure he's doing it out of the goodness of his heart.

Yeah the tying goal is burned into my mind since I was in the car and Wiedeman mentioned he thought it was offside. It sticks out to me since he is usually pretty neutral about on ice calls.

Yes. He'll play goalie if that's what they need him to do. Ultimate team player. Hasn't been very good since his head/eye injury a couple years ago though. Chicago is the perfect fit just to provide some vet leadership and maybe not have to be a nightly player.

Yeah, no. The quality of Alec's play really fell off this year to where he became a liability on the ice, which is why Vegas didn't re-sign him. But he will be just fine as a leader-trainer for a young and building team like the Hawks.
