On one hand, 2014 still hurts!

On the other hand while old he still is good and is type of Dman you want with a kid and Hawks have plenty of kids on blueline
Now he can tell us whether or not he was offsides in 2014.

EDIT: Wait I'm misremembering. Martinez wast he overtime goal, I'm thinking of the tying goal in the third period from Gaborik.
You’re not far off — there was a blatant missed slashing call on Leddy by Williams leading to the goal by Martinez; But more importantly, Carters (?) goal that tied the game at 2-2 was high and offside, as was the first goal IIRC.

Teams like this with alot of youth need guys like Martinez to help mentor the youth.

Good signing for Chicago and also nicely done by Martinez doing this. He's already a Cup winner so he has the ability to do this now

I'm sure he's doing it out of the goodness of his heart.

Yeah the tying goal is burned into my mind since I was in the car and Wiedeman mentioned he thought it was offside. It sticks out to me since he is usually pretty neutral about on ice calls.

In hindsight, the Hawks probably do not win the cup in 2015 if they win it in 2014.
So I'm okay with the Kings' that year.

If that's the choice, I'll take the B2B in 13 and 14 personally. And also if it went down that way, maybe Bowman doesn't re-sign Seabrook and Panarin is kept.

My memory is failing me but this was the Carter goal that made it 1-2

I think they'd run out of steam.
That Lightning series in 2015 seemed to take the last bit of breath they had in 'em.
Idk with how LA walked the rangers I’m not sure we would’ve added more miles.

In 15 Keith was playing every pairing. Team was just a force of nature on a mission from god.

Don't know what Chicago is doing. They should be making more deals like Mikheyev, taking cap dumps for picks instead of wasting it on free agents.

Went to high school with him I remember when this guy played for the Roughriders he wasn't well liked by a lot of people, and he was pretty arrogant.

A team can only sign/have paths to NHL for certain # of prospects

Vet stopgaps to improve NHL roster around kids while rest of kids develop is a sound strategy and better then continuing to be awful and putting kids in awful situation. That is how you end up like the Sabres
