Who's the better player?

They’re 5 months apart
You make it sound like we are comparing a 30 year old to 25 year old

I am not "making it sound" anything, it's the little noise inside your brain. I simply stated which draft they were picked from, which is 100% factual

How is 3 straight seasons Cherry picked??
LOL

It doesn't look that you know much about what I have said but going to help a little

Why not include THIS season, probably the first season of Necas prime?

Why include 2021-22 when Necas was clearly not in his prime but Bratt just broke out?

You can "LOL" all you want but the joke is actually your lack of understanding of a simple post.

Because it’s not done yet
Glad you grasped that very basic concept

Took you awhile, but you got there

Lol what an insane statement. They’re literally both 26 years old and scoring at the same pace this year.

Necas “broke out” with 71 points two years ago. How can you argue that Necas is just breaking out this season? And how is that even an argument your favor when they’re 5 months apart?

“Even though they’re 5 months apart, Bratt has been more productive and consistent than Necas, so it’s not fair to Necas.”

lol another genius

You guys are so controlled by your biases that you have no freaking idea what is actually going on. I don't give a crap of who wins or loses this poll, I actually like Swedish players more in general.

I simply pointed out how dishonest it was to cherry pick these seasons.

Every player has a different prime and peak. Maybe you will be "right" in the sense that Necas' prime really started in 2022-23 but I'd put money that 2023-24 won't be part of it in the end.

“Even though they’re 5 months apart, Bratt has been more productive and consistent than Necas, so it’s not fair to Necas.”

I'm not even sure why I'm addressing such stupidity...

You guys still can't answer 2 very simple questions with non-******** answers :

- Why not include THIS season?

- Why include 2021-22?

For this season, is it also because "it’s not done yet"?

To answer the poll question, which is "Who's the better player?", it goes without saying that you should look at the current season but also note that last season could be an anomaly for Necas. It is simply not reasonable to only look at 2021-22 to 2023-24 and draw a conclusion.

If you do NOT realize all this by yourself or at least after it got explained... I can't help you

Ahh yes, the ol’ “make a nonsensical statement and claim others are ‘stupid’ for pointing out the fault in your statement. Then doubling down with an unhinged tirade without saying anything of substance or even forming a coherent rebuttal.”

Ya love to see it

We have to wait till Necas’s break out happens

This isn’t fair otherwise

Shame on Bratt for being so consistent since those stupid Covid divisions

The nerve of that guy

What’s nonsense about it? It’s strange to judge players without considering the current season even if it “isn’t done yet”. I get the point that this is the only year in Necas’ favour, but you also have to account for context. Including a year before Necas broke out doesn’t really make for an apples to apples comparison, especially when Necas was just drafted a year later. They both broke out in their 6th year after being drafted. Comparing the last three years, including this year, makes a lot more sense

What’s nonsense about it? It’s absurd to judge players without considering the current season even if it “isn’t done yet”.

It’s not that. It’s the poster claiming it’s unfair to Necas to “cherry pick” the last three seasons as if Necas is somehow head and shoulders above Bratt this year.

But just to appease you 2024-2025:
Jesper Bratt: 57 games played. 64 points.
Martin Necas: 57 games played. 64 points.

ok look if you can really POINT OUT the FAULT in my statement, I will make sincere excuses and concede the point with pleasure.

First, you said "Lol what an insane statement" without actually pointing out anything in particular lol but let's assume it was about what you said just after

So what do you have? "They’re literally both 26 years old and scoring at the same pace this year"?

Did I say anywhere they were not scoring at the same pace this year? Did I say anywhere they were not both 26 years old?

lol I pointed out their respective draft years. Pure cold straight facts are NOT arguable lmao

When you're BLINDED by bias of course these things fly way above your head.

Then doubling down with an unhinged tirade without saying anything of substance or even forming a coherent rebuttal.”

 And then you're trying to tell me this conversation is NOT stupid?

You're making assumptions and trying to read into what I think. There's no "as if", I NEVER said anything else than pointing out their draft years and say that the seasons the poster picked for the comparison were far from ideal

It is really simple. I don't give a f*** who lose or win this poll. I'm even going to change my vote and vote for Bratt since he's Swedish. Done.

It's ******* beyond any measure but hey I am not saying anything of substance

I don’t think that was the point. The issue is that they both broke out in their 6th year after being drafted, but Necas was drafted a year later. Including three years before this not only ignores this year, it also includes only seasons since Bratt’s breakout but includes a year before Necas’ breakout. So while Bratt being good for longer is a point in his favour, the comparison is also underrating Necas as his numbers are brought down by that season.

I voted for Bratt here as I like his game better even if Necas might have more game breaking potential. But I don’t think comparing the three years before this is a very good way to look at them.

Again, they’re only 5 months apart. If anything, you’d think the 5’10 6th round pick would need a little extra time over the 6’3 first round pick.
