Love both, but Bratt. They're similarly talented offensive players, but Bratt's been a very good 200 foot player over his career, whereas Necas really hasn't been.

Bratt has gone from 73 points to 83 points to on pace for 94 points this year. He's turning into one of the premier two way players of the league. Necas is talented and having a breakout year, but need to see this level on a longer term to compare.

Bratt's career is an up and to the right graph. He has not stopped improving from day one and he makes everyone better around him. One of the best contracts in the league and one of the best late round draft picks ever.

Most underrated player in the league going on years now.

Bratt has now had 4 straight seasons of consistent 70+ point playdriving. Necas is breaking out this year after a good year 2 years ago but mid one last year. Could end up being the same player forward, but Bratt is the safer pick now.

Wasn't sure where to post this, I was looking for an underrated player thread...

But I was looking at who has the most assists over the last 2 seasons combined. And when you look at the top 10, it's all the usual suspects. But then I got to #11 and saw Jesper Bratt, and I thought damn... that's pretty impressive. I was not expecting that.

He is 1 of only 11 players to have 100 assists (or more) over the last 2 seasons combined. Thought that was pretty cool.

Necas may have a slightly higher gear offensively but he’ll need to put another season up at this level to back this one to really convince folks that he’s arrived.

Bratt is unquestionably a better two-way player and also elite offensively.

It’s certainly Bratt right now.

Bratt is pretty damn overrated judging by this poll. He for sure isn't making any underrated charts. Bratt has never carried a team or a line in his career.

I don't think a single GM in this league takes Bratt over Necas

You seem pretty damn confident about that

3 seasons previously before now
Bratt = 229 points in 240 games
Necas = 164 points in 232 games

5v5 scoring gives the considerable edge to bratt

a 65 point difference is a lot there bud

...Jack Hughes might be Jersey's most talented player, but Bratt has the team's highest Hockey IQ to go with his elite skillset, imo...he is an absolute joy to watch, wish the Habs had him...Necas is a very good offensive player, however I wouldn't have him at Bratt's level...

Why cherry pick these seasons? It includes all prime seasons from Bratt while none for Necas who is a 2017 draft (while Bratt is from 2016)

Necas is only entering his prime this season but even if you look at since 2022-23, then the difference is reduced to 30 pts less (in 3 seasons)

Not to mention Bratt plays a better 200 ft game.

They’re 5 months apart
You make it sound like we are comparing a 30 year old to 25 year old

How is 3 straight seasons Cherry picked??
LOL
