One of his union brothers was senselessly killed by a drunk driver not even a year ago. I know the polite thing to say is "I hope he gets the help he needs" or something, but come on. The only help he needs is a suspended license and some possible jail time.

You still need to keep a hand on the wheel. And moving it would disengage autopilot. Considering he was drunk, he could’ve easily done that.
