I’d give Marner a slight edge in the regular season. He’s better defensively, a good PKer, and a bit better at driving play imo. But it’s close enough that you can’t ignore the large difference in their playoff production, and Rantanen’s size seems to allow him to get to the hard areas of the ice whereas Marner has become too perimeter oriented when the play ramps up.

Yeah it's not even close. Marner is good but just in a skills sense. MF should've been a roller hockey player honestly. He looks like a Narch player.

Rantanen and it's not even close, maybe you can give Marner a slight season edge, but he has failed so spectacularly in the playoffs it's not even funny. As a Leafs fan I would take Rantanen all day every day.

Don't make the Makar/Mack excuse either, Marner has Nylander/Matthews/JT/Rielly to play with
