Let's all remember, Ryan Johnson (buffalo 1st round pick 2019) has 0 goals and 12 assists in 43 NCAA games. Mike Koster (5th round pick 2019) has 1 goal and 2 assists in 7.6 games.

We can always depend on Buffalo to suck.

More important than Koster, how have Kent Johnson, Beniers, and Power played?

Joe Miller will be joining Koster next year too, so maybe he will look good next year as well.

Does Johnson have any relation to Toronto? I know Power is a top prospect in the upcoming draft..

I thought Power was less noticeable today than yesterday. I hope he keeps it up, I want another liljegren-esque drop to the leafs.

Johnson is a really good skater though, all four ways. I'd even argue he's a better skater than koster, but koster's iq is much better and koster should progress better barring injuries.

Man it's amazing watch Koster handle the puck. So calm and doesn't rush anything.
Again commentators were praising him, saying his skating ability lateral quicks. He is getting better and better every game.

Yeah Johnson is fine. I don't see why he was a first round pick though.

I was more making fun of the fact he still doesn't have a NCAA goal even though he's fed 1PP minutes without even being the QB.

Koster gives me real Spurgeon vibes. If he keeps up this level of play, he shouldn't find himself back on the bottom pairing when the Gophers get the rest of their defensemen back

2020 6th round pick Joe Miller is committed to the Gophers for next season.

Looks like U of M is the NCAA team to watch for Leafs fans
And harvard because harvard gets fusco and we can finally understand why leafs would spend a 6th round pick on an overager who played in high school.

What a clever but simple play by Koster just now. The puck went behind his net, with pressure coming, he puts the puck in an open corner softly, and then goes gets it himself, and makes an easy pass to his teammate and Minnesota are out of the zone. It was almost like a self pass. I literally said wow after the play.

Hahaha I've said that a few times now watching him. So smart.

Another great game today. Maybe even better then yesterday and he was fantastic in that too.

The NHL needs cameras on every player in the league exactly like that camera view, technology is ready with GoPro and the like. Would love to see Mcdavid's view when he's going top speed undressing people

They actually did, here's some screenshots from the tape:

I like everything about that, but the music. Ya, I'm getting old.

Used to see Dermott do stuff like that live in junior a lot when he played against the Rangers. That or if he was waiting behind the net with the puck and pressure was coming without an outlet option, he wpuld flip the puck out to center to at least clear the zone instead of creating a turnover.

You can't teach skill and hockey sense and our scouting post Lou/Hunter has been awesome.
