There isn't a gun to the organization's head but I wonder if they'd be willing to use someone like Hildeby in a trade since Ahkyamatov has been so promising?

Ex, Vegas seems locked in with Pietrangelo-Theodore-Whitecloud at RD, Korczak is usually the scratch.

Would Toronto add something like Holmberg or Robertson to Hildeby for Korczak?

Get younger on the back end with a big RD.

We really could use a Trade/Roster building thread... So we can talk about theoretical trades in the offseason, whom we'd target as a UFA... what we might each personally do if the team fails to succeed again.

Korczak is a decent target.. I have other ideas.... but I don't want to derail this thread too much.

Yeah for sure...it's kind of noting the holes in our prospect pool too.

Notable D are basically Chadwick and Danford...we all know how long we went without proper RD until this year.

Unfortunately our most notable centre prospects are now Quillan and Hilonka.

You let Leach cook with BPA but as an organization, you're always gonna need C and D, especially RD, maybe tell him all things being equal, tie breaker goes to those positions.

London is playing but Cowan is not. He is being rested along with Dickanson, Barkey, Halttunan ect. London starts the playoffs a week from Friday. They have clinched everything.

He's getting a lot more opportunity this year, Owen Sound lost a bunch of top players this year so McCue took advantage of more ice time. Getting lots of opportunity with the new team too. Props to McCue, one of the few Leafs prospects making any significant progress this year.

Watching alot of London knights game his brother Max was the same .
Max was more of a hit first mentality but his last 2 yrs of junior is where he shined.
sam seems more on the offensive side.

It could make sense for TOR to jump in early to try to add TJ Hughes and/or Jack Williams instead of leaving everything to later occurring sweepstakes. They've been more solidly linked to Carsen Dorwart and Luke Haymes, but any of these four would be welcome after trading Minten and Grebenkin.

If the Leafs got Hughes and Haymes after getting Prokop that's 3 of the better NCAA free agents that are available according to what I've read about this years crop.

Hughes sounds like a natural fit, local, decent size and good production at a position of need. He, Bancroft and Hutson are all RS forwards who might see a decent path with the Leafs. Edit to add: don’t know much about Williams, but looks like he applies.
Plus, there’s a few contract spots kicking around.

I would be extremely interested in Korczak, and would be such a smart under the radar pick-up.

I don't dislike Benoit in any way, and I think Myers can continue to develop for us, but Korczak would be a good and smart add.

I think a pairing with OEL would be mutually beneficial for both players, with OEL being allowed to play his natural left side, and Korczak growing under his tutelage on ice, and their styles of play look like they would complement and mesh well together.

Love how competently Treliving has been at building our RHD, when Dumbass spent years ignoring it, putting LHD band aids and selling us out to hang onto an empty bag in Holl.

Tanev, Carlo, Myers, Danford. Not there yet but getting there. Add Korczak and our defence has a lot to like.
