It goes to show you, just get in the playoffs. I don’t think many expected the Marlies to make the Calder finals. One more series to win.
The goaltender turning into prime Roy doesn't hurt either
That 2020 Dubas draft class ruining Dubas' Sunday night.
There's some young guys showing some real growth, I know this team has a lot of vets but they youth is showing through imo
Another 4 to 7 games he is growing before our eyes.

He is going to be a top 4 dman on the Leafs.
He could be a smokey out of camp next season if he keeps this form going

If AA has a great final series, we are going to have to start talking about whether he should be a Leaf next year. If the Marlies win its probably because AA ends up the MVP.

That would be difficult and risky. Practically speaking, Hildeby has to be on the Leafs as he won’t clear waivers otherwise. Would we have a tandem of AA and Hildeby, two rookies in net!!! I mean, some point that is how this likely plays out, but two rookies at once.

It sounds like the organization has been thinking of him as their goalie of the future lately. And Hildeby himself was pretty good with the Leafs this year. So I think it just reinforces the notion that one of Woll or Stolarz could be moved out in a hockey trade and you just manage the transition into the future.

I think you trade one of Woll or Stolarz for help elsewhere, or pure futures and you plan for Hildeby to be the 1B in the tandem with the notion than AA could one day steal the job outright.

One gets traded this year, but the other could be very well gone next summer. I am starting to think they will not be able to keep AA down in the AHL past next year.

A lot of Day 1 Akhtyamov Die Hards coming out of the woodwork tonight and rightfully so! However, the true, next level hipster prospect is actually Vyacheslav Peksa. The junior teammate that also caught the Leafs attention after signing AA.
