Wrong. Naslund dominated the league from 2001-04

You can make an argument that naslund was the best player in the league for a window. You can’t say the same for kovalchuk. At best Kovy was a top 10 player.

Näslund getting sold kinda short here to be honest, either way it's close(r than the poll indicates). Pretty much a toss up in my opinion Näslund for peak, Kovalchuk for prime.

TBH he never really even played with Hossa outside of the powerplay.

His most common line for a while was with Bryan Little and Todd White (and 2 great seasons with Savard).

Kovy scored 40+ goals and 90+ points with Todd White as his center

Huge nazzy fan but Kovy was better and us expected. Nazzy was 5’11 190 kovy is 6’3 230. So kovy is somewhat of a beast himself.
