As good as he is, with how poor of a skater he is I'd be worried about going really long term with him. 8 years would bring him to 33 or so which would probably be fine But you never know!

It's the opposite for Stone. He should remain good as he gets older, he gets by now on his smarts. His skating doesn't hold him back now, it won't as he ages.As good as he is, with how poor of a skater he is I'd be worried about going really long term with him. 8 years would bring him to 33 or so which would probably be fine But you never know!
If I’m Dorion I’d try and lowball this guy on a bridge deal. Take him right to UFA and see what happens. From a pure cost perspective that’s the best option
I don't think you were supposed to take it seriously, dude.
After the emotional turmoil that many went though last week, you brought up a depressing scenario.
There's really nothing scarier than an upcoming UFA with the Sens. You're going to end up paying him more. We pretty much already know what he is.If I’m Dorion I’d try and lowball this guy on a bridge deal. Take him right to UFA and see what happens. From a pure cost perspective that’s the best option

Go to bed Eugene.I would actually trade Stone. I love him but he is going to be a terrible singing long term.
He's going to turn into Cheecho et all. As soon as he starts slowing down.
I'd much rather do a good hockey trade but not until after we sign EK long term LOL.

Lol yeah trading Stoner is not a popular opinion but if I am Bill Belichik and I run the Patriots I definitley trade Stoner at Peak value for an equivalent peace with longer term upside and build around that.
The only person that I keep is Tom Brady, I mean Erik Karlsson.
In which case that makes me Kraft too.
Note to self: Gronk on Skates
Would love to see him as McDavids winger they would take turns every shift taking away puck from opposition

Who would be an "equivalent piece" with longer term upside? Faster skating, slightly younger equivalent, who would someone like that be?
