Scheif is better offensively, but Suzuki is, IMO, a much better 200ft player
And this year, Suzuki is closing the gap on offense

Suzuki is close enough offensively now and better defensively.

Yeah Scheifele has finished top 10 in scoring twice but those were years ago. I assumed the OP was referring to exclusively right now.

My bad I was referring to his point totals when I said "scoring". Though good point that he's having by far the best goalscoring season of his career.

Mark is better offensively and better goal scorer (goal scorers hold bigger value than assist guys), Nick is better defensively. At this stage slight lead goes to Mark still, but Nick will likely take the lead over the next 2-3 years. Mark has also produced better in the playoffs than Nick.

Suzuki has done really well in the Covid runs where he was 20 and 21 years old respectively. How about we see what Nick does this year (hopefully) before passing judgment on playoff performances.

I in general agree with this but the Playoff production argument is a bit suspect. Suzuki has only been in the playoffs as a rookie and Sophmore so it's hard to judge.
It’s a draw. Scheifele is slightly better offensively, Suzuki is slightly better defensively.
One thing I will say though is I think Nick gets overrated by Habs fans defensively. He’s decent, but not Selke level, or even “great”, tbh. On a scale from Michkov (1) to Barkov (9), I’d give him about a 6.

Mark Scheifele at 21 years old had 1 point in 4 playoff games, good enough for 6th in team scoring with offensive dynamos Lee Stempniak and Adam Pardy.
Nick Suzuki at 21 led his team in scoring in the playoffs with 16 points in 22 games leading them offensively to a Stanley Cup final birth. At 20 years old he laso led the team in scoring in the playoffs with 7 points in 10 games.
Mark Scheifele has made the playoffs 7 times in his career, he has led his team in scoring only once.
