It may have been an idea that was rejected. It happened before last season, if im correct, I can't find it in the CBA rules, so maybe it was just an idea

Yes but, at the time, it was the right move. Expansion teams traditionally have a fairly chaotic roster in their first few years. They can't afford any loyalty to their first few captains and assistant captains.Hope they trade him, thought it was so weird they named him captain. Like they had to have known trading him should be on the table.
Captains change all the time. He was the best choice for the C and that is what they did. You're looking way too far into something that really doesn't matter. There's no "charade" and no "dog and pony show". They had the chance to take a great leader, made him captain, season didn't work out so they can try to get assets for him to help in the future. Every choice there is a good one. You're just looking for something to criticize and unfortunately, it's not there.
1st round pick in 2022. Eazy. If Chairot retained gets a first. This guy gets a 2022 1st and 2023 3rd conditional to a second if said team makes the conference finals. The Kraken aren't competing this season and Giordano's going to be an UFA that will most likely go cup hunting starting next season.
Seattle doesn't need:
- Top 4/Top 6 ish defenders
- offensively challenged forwards
- longterm contracts coming back
Seattle wants:
- most likely draft picks/prospects
What do you got?
