Mark Fraser

With Liles injured and Holzer/Komi on the Marlies, I think Frasers spot is fine for now.

Fraser won't see the press box anytime soon. He's been one of our most consistent defensemans.

Him and Franson have been solid as a pairing.

Don't think so. Fraser and Franson are really solid together. They've been the most consistent pairing all season. Carlyle says he hates change so I don't foresee him changing that up especially when that pairing is giving him no reason to.

"To be honest, it's something that's incredibly overlooked as far as what it means to the outcome of a game or what it means to a level of team commitment," said Fraser, who tied for a team-high five blocks against the Bruins, now with 64 on the year. "I'm very proud to be on a team that carries that stat because again it's just guys showing their willingness, not just for the goalie but for one another. And to be honest, I think we could still even do a better job of it."

He's the exact kind of Defenseman we've been looking for, extremely sturdy in his own end, tough on the opposition and willing to drop 'em, and blocks shots like a machine. As long as he can keep it up, he'll be in the line-up consistently and we'll be better for it.

We really lucked out that he finally has gotten the proper coaching, he's really been a gem for us on the backend.

Love Fraser. :handclap:

He hasn't done anything to lose his spot.

He skates fine and plays a simple defensive game. He's also fought for the team and is one of the reasons we've got one of the more tougher teams in the league.

Agree 100%! I said this when we acquired him early last year.Fraser will just continue to get more confident as his TOI increases. Can anyone make a comparison to Schenn?

Fraser will always be in the line up. He plays 17-20 valuable minutes...as I think Franson is a bit prone to giveaways, he's the perfect partner for him.

One of our better pairings from the begininning of the season.

A depth man that can hit, block shots, fight, play on the PK, play solid D. Don't see any reason he would be going anywhere.

RC probably loves him like a son. Very solid, good first pass, simple glass and out, tough aw nails. He brings an element the Leafs have been sorely lacking on the back end for years. He is not going anywhere!

well, for one im not sure if i ever seen schenn win a fight. im not sure if ive ever seen fraser lose one. even lucic said he is just about the only guy to ever drop him on his ass.
