I can see a 2026 1st for Petts. As long as we do not need to take on a cap dump that goes beyond this year.

Depends on the cost, if Ruthervin want to sign Pettersson as a UFA anyways, and they view the cost as negligible, I think there's a good chance they still do it.

Pettersson would be such a luxury at 3 LD. He's played played top pair LD for the Pens for the last few years.

A luxury I strongly consider to strengthen that roster as one never knows what injury is around the corner
