What are you guys memories of this guy? Was he not during several seasons a very good bottom 6 center?

He was a very good bottom 6, penalty killing guy. Had some big goals in the playoffs.
Amazing defensive center who was a crucial part of two Cup teams. One of my favorite role players ever to play for the Blackhawks
Funny thing about Kruger is that he was supposed to be offensive......kind of altered his game to stay in the bigs and prosper in a role.....demonstrates a lot to be able to do that successfully. Seems to think a lot of Frondell too.
Solid shutdown bottom 6 C. His passes were probably about as hard as his shots were. Made some nice passes as he had some playmaker traits coming into the league.

The thing that always impressed me about Kruger is that, especially for not being a big guy, he would take all these hits and just keep on going

a significant portion of our fanbase hated him, which made me love him even more. great bottom 6 defensive center, 3 time (or was it 2?) champ, underrated piece by many in our title runs

Everything you could want from a 4th line center.
Took a lot of defensive zone starts, was good at tilting the ice back the other way.
Shot blocker, puck hound, and some big playoff moments.
Love the Kruger.

Nobody disliked Kruger the 4C. Plenty of us disliked Kruger the supposed 2C.

His extension after taking the one year low cap hit.
He got absolutely obliterated at least once a game, but yet somehow was pretty durable.
