I wanted Gidlof the Goalie for the Sharks. He became somewhat of a meme pick in my mocks.

"You shall not pass" after a big save would be glorious to hear.
“You shall not pass” sounds like our 1st round pick’s mantra. I kid (kinda), though he does seem like a Cy Young type of hockey player.

Sounds like Adin Hill.

His lack of lateral mobility is a concern.

Edit: Ha, that’s Pronman’s comp as well.

Tier 1

1. Marcus Gidlof, Leksands

Gidlof is the best goalie in the class in my eyes. He’s 6-foot-6, moves very well for a man his size, has strong hockey sense and is technically sound. I know some of my readers think I’m off my rocker with this one. They see him as the No. 10 European goalie on Central’s list and think I’ve lost it. He was the best goalie in Sweden’s junior ranks this season and he’s going in the second or third round as far as I know. He reminds me a lot of Erik Portillo at the same age. He’s not a projected starter for me, more of a projected tandem type goalie, but he still looks like a future NHL goaltender.
