I don’t think he would get more than that. You were saying he’s not worth 7M and I disagreed. On a long term deal he is. Byfield got 7.1% on an 88M cap. I’m guessing Rossi’s camp would be looking for similar, and we know the Wilds camp is at Lundell’s number which is 5.7%. Let’s say they meet in the middle at ~6.5%, that’s 6.2M on a 5 year deal. That sounds about right to me.

Had the same thought. Think Rossi is a bit steadier, but I also think we will disappointed by the return.
I'd pay the man and play him wherever he fit best. That return was awful, and only slightly more than it is still awful.

I did. Rossi stays at center. Yurov move to wing? Why the hell would they move a center who has never played wing to wing? I mean they can try Rossi at wing and diminish his value. But those are Wild things.

My goal in asking the question is to see how malleable or unmalleable people would be to moving Rossi to wing separate from other factors. Like, are people so dead set that Rossi has to play center that they would prefer to take this pretty terrible return instead of playing Rossi at wing. I know your preference is to keep him at center and I appreciate the response.
7x7 to play wing. kid is talented and young, i dont see the point in giving up on him for nothing.
Definitely not against it if there is a definitive upgrade as a result. Not against using him himself for that definitive upgrade, if that situation presented itself.
So, basically defensively. Got it. I'm not convinced he's a far better player, but defense definitely matters, and if all else were equal I'd take the bigger player. I'm not sure I'd put Rossi too far back of Byfield, though.
