This should be Michkov in a landslide if you're taking into account his entire body of work as a prospect up to where he is right now in the NHL, they're different level talents, Marchenko is a hell of a hockey player though, any team would love to have him.

Marchenko is better today by a pretty significant margin. But considering age, I think you have to take Michkov. I wouldn't be surprised if prime Marchenko ends up the up better all around player, but I'd still take my chances with Michkov.

Marchenko is one of the most underrated players in the league, he's always passed the eye test, and now the production is starting to flow. He's big, strong, and super skilled. He's like a bigger, stronger Kucherov with worse vision.

I wouldn't say significant, though. I'd even say they are much closer than people think and as soon as next year Michkov will outscore Kirill. Even with Couts as 1C and abysmal PP.

But year, Marchenko is way bigger which a lot of GMs, coaches and fans still love more than they should. And given he's not just big but very skilled, some teams could definitely prefer him over Michkov. At least at the moment.

Offensively I think they're probably pretty close, but Marchenko has become an extremely well rounded winger. His underlying numbers this year are fantastic, anyone who plays with him seems to take off.

Right now there is a very very significant difference.

Marchenko is currently getting the best relative goals results in the league - meaning the gap between his team with him on the ice and his team with him off the ice is bigger than for any other player in the league.

The Flyers are much better offensively with Michkov on the ice but also much worse defensively (you can find him on the same chart). He's a high event player that grades out as average overall.

what are we looking at if Michkov realizes his potential?
