Not shooting when the shot is available is bad but I saw a lot of good things from the Bison King last night. Powerhouse player and he looks healthy to me.

Kane has so much chemistry with McDavid and Yamamoto but I want to see Puljujarvi - Draisaitl - Kane in the playoffs.

That would be the modern day equivalent of the Legion of Doom.
You saw a lot of good things? What? He’s been awful since his return.

It can't be worse than the Historically Horrendous Oiler Shit Show we witnessed last night.

No he hasn't. He's got 2 points in 3 games and is the guy usually breaking up passes going the other way. Puljujarvi is never gonna thrive with a guy like Hyman who won't give up the puck 90 percent of the time. Hyman/Nuge should be paired together imo thats when both players have looked their best this season.

The Sharks have been very good lately. Karlsson was injured a long time but has come back. This is no bottom feeder opponent. They will be eager to finish the season strong to prove they still got it. Maybe with a couple FAs this summer they can be a playoff team again.
Reimer been good too. This is no gimme that’s for sure

Watch closer. I won't ask you to rewatch the Dallas fiasco but pay close attention to Puljujarvi during the San Jose game. Watch and learn. If I'm wrong I'll freely owe up to it. Will you do the same?

Too lazy to do the math, but how good/bad do we have to be to secure a playoff spot.

I suspect the odds are hugely against Vegas at this point......

Assuming the Oilers go .500 the rest of the way, Vegas would have to go 11-5 or something. That would be for third place in the Pacific

ok I like our odds, with Woodcroft behind the bench I don't think the Oilers will have another pre-tippett-firing 12 straight losses breakdown.

Yeah, me too. If they did, it wouldn’t matter anyhow lol

9-9-0 and finishing with 93 points gives the Oilers a 77.8% chance of getting in.

Vegas would need 21 points in their final 16 games to tie (.656 points percentage). Vancouver needs 25 points in their final 18 games to tie (.694 p%).

The Oilers have the tiebreaker on both of them right now, so just tying in points might not be enough for the Knights and/or Canucks.

Now do all sets of probabilities of the Oilers getting slaughtered in the first round... include all permutations and combinations.

Ok wow quite the stats guy, thanks for sharing this, puts me at ease. Thank god we started the season so hot. Had we fired Tippett earlier, the 77.8% probably would have been closer to 85% by now smh.

Puljujarvi needs an earpiece with some shooting expert to tell him to shoot at the proper times. He clearly doesn’t listen to the crowd…
