For discussions sake, their remaining games:

vs. NYI
@ FLA
vs. CBJ
@ OTT
@ PIT
vs. DAL
vs. NJD
@ NYR
vs. WAS
@ DET
@ PHI

To be honest, a lot of those are winnable, but I can't see them taking all four of their final road games. How hilarious would it be if they entered that last game in Philadelphia with a win and in scenario? Since their last playoff appearance they've beaten the Flyers on the road once, and have struggled with them overall, including this game. I think I broke something that night. A year later, Leighton was a Flyer. Clearly they saw something in that one that made them think he was their goaltender of the future. Holmgren always gets his guy.

If we couldn't win two win and you're in home games I can't imagine winning one on the road, much less in Philadelphia.

We have a 0.8% chance of making the playoffs...Looking at the teams ahead of us, we could actually pull a pretty good run to end the season, which could very well lead to the last game being the determining factor. Not saying it will happen, but I honestly wouldn't be too surprised

We would basically have to win out, aside from MAYBE one game. I just flat out don't see it. Too much work to do to jump the Caps and Jackets with only one game left apiece. Neither is losing enough for us to pass. The Devils are, but they don't matter anyway and in fact I'd love to pass them since they're picking 30th anyway. Only team that's slumping badly enough for fall out is the Leafs (finally) and there's just too damn many teams standing inbetween us and Toronto.

This season was lost much earlier. Beat Buffalo coming out of the Olympic break, and at least split with the Alberta duo of suck, and this team is right in the thick of things.

Oh I don't think it's at all likely either. 11-0 is a 97% chance but one slip-up to 10-1 and it falls to a 65% chance, and that only figures to drop.

But I wouldn't be surprised if they won their next four, and finished something like 7-4 or 8-3. This team is maddeningly inconsistent, except when it's too late.

If the team defies unimaginable odds and game 82 winds up being a win-and-in scenario, I'm making DaveG and his 7-2-0 record do that GDT. No way would I mess with the organization's fortunes with my 2-6-2 record. :sarcasm:

Also, just ordered my half-price pizza. Yay Papa John's (not Forslund).

Toronto and Columbus lose today. Jersey wins. Toronto sucks. New Jersey also sucks. Columbus has scored 15 goals in 9 games without Gaborik.

Washington is the only team I don't think we can pass that we need to to get in.
