1) I cannot, will not just pretend i think the Tragically Hip are good with Canadian patrotism being so in right now

2) I will not cheer for the Florida Panthers to win a stanley cup regardless of Marchand.

I can't help loving The Hip. They're my 2nd favorite band.

The only guys playing this game for the Bruins who have really had any significant part in the recent Florida rivalry are Pasta, Sway, Zacha and Lauko. Really takes the heat out of the contest, on top of which it's a largely meaningless game for both teams late in the season. Unless someone lays a nasty hit or something, this is going to be a pretty low intensity affair.

Easy game to become a fan favorite quick though. First guy to feed Bennett his teeth gets a fan club

True, but none of the new guys are wired that way. Which really only leaves Zadorov and Kastelic, both of which are already known quantities in that regard. Could earn themselves a few extra brownie points though I suppose.

With so many young and new additions, every game should matter. Every sihft is an audition for next year.

For a few yeah that should be the case. But we're not seeing it. Bs are battling along ok, but no-one's really going above and beyond. Panthers are cruising and doing the bare minimum to get by.

A real shame. Florida plays such a rat game against all team one would imagine many players have their own individual motivations but alas, well paid millionaires at the end of the day playing a game. As you say, end of the season and they would prefer a quiet routine night.

It would be a beautiful sight to see Bennett peeled off the ice with a spatula.
