Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
I have never liked Brazzeau on the 4th line. I think others do 4th line duties much better than him, and I think it minimizes what he does best
I would opine he covers ice faster than 11, 13, 55 & 28 without the puck. So his forecheck, backcheck and puck races are to his advantage. Unfortunately his ability to make plays is behind even Beecher.
McLovin showing a little something. Good for him! He works hard out there and has a nose for the net. I don't expect much from him other than spot 4th line duty but I'm happy to see him get on the board a couple of times.

I like his work ethic, but my eye test has him working twice as hard to do things of a player with slightly more talent. I think his current pace, in terms of effort, is unsustainable in the long-term and I don’t think he has the natural talent to remain an NHL player when he can no longer keep his foot on the gas for every second of every shift.
It really shouldn’t come down to a forced binary like this, but if we really are giving our opinions on a “Brazeau versus McLaughlin long term” matchup, I’m going with Braz eight days a week. Both players have shortcomings, but Brazeau has got the higher upside IMO. And that’s even considering the age difference.
I don’t understand. What is he “overcoming”? There’s been plenty of local players who have donned a Bruins uniform. If he doesn’t stick with the club in the long run, I think it’s far more likely the reality of the NHL being the best hockey league in the world that it is he’s local and therefore at some type of mental disadvantage. It’s not like he arrived as some highly touted prospect and isn’t living up to expectation.

His turn, run him until he can't run no more. Brazeau, time has run its course, maybe at some other time, needs a time out, refresh, rethink his game.

McLaughlin doesn't have many NHL skills but the one thing he does have is finish. He is kind of similar to Brazeau in a way. Say what you want but they both find ways to put the puck in the back of the net.

They are definitely limited players to a degree but they oddly might compliment each other if you can sub them in and out as they get hot and cold

#26 is strictly a 4L replacement level player that will average 9 minutes game. I don't think he will get enough TOI to slag off. He has some speed and is positoinally sound

Wasnt he putting up points AHL before this most recent call up? Does play making include scoring goals? He’s been doing that if not he’s helping play makers by goal scoring.
I am talking strictly puck handling and play making skills. Can't say that for a 4th liner,
he isn't maxing out his goal scoring ability with 6G in 22 games. I respect McLaughlin and his story on making it to the show with his hometown team, while never being drafted.
If Boston was in an Anaheim spot, he would probably get an entire NHL season in.
People should remember he was last cut on the record setting '22-23 Bruins.

Let’s see if he continues his positive contributions to the team … yes lower expectations however you never know when a player will break out. Let’s hope this is the year for Marc.
I’d rather they kept Jesper Boqvist at $775k, but I guess the plan was to go for size with Jones and Tufte instead. Didn’t work out, obviously, but having McLaughlin on the 4th line playing 10 minutes a night making league minimum is fine in my view.

Jones looks really good in the ahl. We might see him at some point. I think he started the season injured and took some time to find his legs.

Personally, I think he's fine on the fourth line. That's probably his best role. Try him on third line, that's fine too.

McLaughlin has a scoring touch that can be optimized given proper coaching and position.
ProJo's Mark Divver also reports that McLaughlin is an excellent teammate and an extremely hard worker. First on the ice and last to leave.
Sounds like a Boston Bruin to me.
He's a keeper.
26 goals in 150 AHL games.
I hope MM can show us some of his goal scoring prowess soon.....we need it.

you and I both friend, guy gets dissected here playing 10 mins a night in spot duty, works hard, chips in meanwhile, anyone know when Brazz last made an impact and crickets
seen it often before, will see it more down the road, some players games are simply better suited for the NHL than AHL or they simply play with more confidence when lining up with NHL caliber players , MM is one of them IMO
It could just be the shiny new toy factor, but 2 goals in as many games for a no name guy on a goal-starved team cannot be ignored
