Yes because he traded a guy who’s not an NHL player who people think has some untapped potential for reasons he’s never shown.

I don’t know, this might be ok. Brazeau appears to have much more offensive potential to go along with his size. He’s terrible in the dot, but he scores at twice the rate in his brief career than Lauko and a thousand times better than Marat. While at first I was scratching my heard, I’m starting to think I like this. Does anyone know if he’s a PK guy??

This is a shit trade, even if Marak doesn't develop his offense

He hasn't seen a second of PK according to Boston fans. Apparently best guess is he's to replace JEE on net front on the PP

He is not. He’s been on the ice for 1:43 all season during shorthanded situations.

He traded a young cost controlled center who just broke into the NHL at 22 for a career AHLer and a decent bottom 6 guy that had injury problems. More than likely he gave away Khus and Lauko for free.
Yup, I’d bet money that Brazeau won’t be on the team once he hits UFA this offseason. Lauko and Khus given away for free. Didn’t even get a pick back.

What the @#!$ is he thinking? Freeing up money for Reaves? We are getting slower because of that moron. Trades those guys for NOTHING! No wonder he's crapping the bed with Rossi. And good luck when he gets the extra cash this summer after Parise and Suters contracts expire. I have zero faith that he will use it wisely. He'll just bring in slow, gritty guys who remind him of himself. He sucks! He should be fired for that Trenin contract alone.

Lot of Brazeau experts here. It’s not like we traded Yurov or Rossi. We gave up nothing of value
Speed. Young cost controlled guys. Lauko was pretty decent for a bottom 6 and Khus had good speed and was adapting to the NHL.

Minnesota has not developed a second round picks since Jordan Greenway ten years ago.

At this point, Guerin is going to really mess this team up and we're going to be where we were at when Gaborik left.

Team is squarely in playoff position. Every core player that is eligible has a reasonable longterm deal with the exception of RFA Rossi. Prospect pool is easily Top 5. Think you’re overreacting a bit here.

Marat has been statistically among the very worst scoring Fs in the NHL this year and Lauko is an injury prone 4th liner

Khusnutdinov had no future here, and maybe not in the NHL. I know nothing about Brazeau, but I'm not crying over this.

If he has no future here, maybe it's time to start looking at the scouts and the development team and asking them WTF is going on?

It's been TEN YEARS since Minnesota got a serviceable player from the 2nd round. They have whiffed on so many draft picks.

Kaprizov and Ek are out. And we just gave away one of those prized prospects until suddenly he wasn't.

We sold low on Khus. For all we know Kaprizov is going to walk next season as well and who the hell knows what is going to happen to Eriksson-Ek.

This team is 5-5 in the last 10 games and 13-10 since the new year. Barely over 500. They are riding high on their early season success.

Sure, but that's a different convo

I don't trust Guerin to get a deal with Rossi done. Kaprizov is going to walk.
He's gonna cry that we can't afford Rossi AND Kaprizov. Probably going to make Rossi look like the bad guy. "If we give him what he wants, we wouldn't be able to fill out the rest of the roster with those important 3rd and 4th liners that i love so much."
