How many moves of Guerin’s have I praised? I’ll give you a hint, it’s the same amount that I’ve criticized; 0. There’s no use praising or criticizing.

Why should Khus get more opportunities? Please provide some sort of statistics that state he SHOULD get more chances.
The points he’s put up? No.
He’s good on the dot? No.
His Corsi? No.

I just do see anything that says he should get more opportunities.
Again, an odd viewpoint on a discussion board.

I was thinking that this trade screams "accrue cap faster" so Kaprizov/Eriksson Ek can return without cap being an issue.
Marat was already in Iowa so I'm not sure of how much more accruing is going to happen.

I don't know why he "probably will".

Ek might start next year on IR? He hasn't been ruled out for this season, at least as far as I know. Not sure why next year would be in question.
Yurov takes Johansson's spot. Boldy - Rossi - Yurov and then Zuccs - Eriksson-Ek (if healthy) - Kaprizov.

Ek is out 6-8 weeks. He hasn't been healthy the entire year.

Not really. I mostly come here to see news breaks.

As I’ve said before this forum is very negative and it’s mentally draining on/to me. I tried Reddit but following discussion timeline there is confusing for me. So this site, unfortunately, is the best place to get news first.

What’s the point in participating in a forum if you can’t form an opinion on anything? Is your sole intention just to nitpick those who criticize a move?

Why did a waiver pick-up in Hinostroza immediately get top 6 minutes and PP time?

Ek was down in the lineup behind 2 old guys. There was a pretty clear path to him being at least the 2nd line center in pretty short order.

Khusnuts does not have that same path, unless they trade Rossi or move Yurov to wing, both being varying levels of controversial.
Khus could play wing too though. As we’ve learned for the past 2 decades, having depth down the middle is crucial to get anywhere in the playoffs.

Being able to have your winger fill in for injuries to your center is a benefit. Having a winger with faceoff experience be able to fill in when your center gets kicked off the dot is a benefit.

I truly can not see a single justification for this move. I’m fine with bringing this guy in, but giving up on Khus for him is just terrible. We could’ve kept him in the AHL for the remainder of the season & re-signed him cheap.

Still waiting for you to provide proof the Khus deserved an elevated role.

And I don’t usually form an opinion on things right away because I know better. You must let things play out to see if they were good or bad. Saves valuable stress. Should try it some time.

This move does nothing to benefit our cap.
Brazeau is a better plug than the plugs we traded away though. People have a weird fascination with Khusnutdinov. I don't see anything in his game that would put him above the 4th line. Defense is meh. Offense non-existent. PK ability is bad. What exactly does he provide outside of *speed* he cannot effectively use due to other deficiencies?

**Jesus, don't know how I typed "people" instead of "speed"

They made out like bandits. I will bet $1000 with whoever wants the action that Khus is at least a 0.5 PPG player during the 26/27 season.
Ok. I’ll take that bet, provided you mean in the NHL.

If he’s in the AHL or KHL, do I still win the $1k?

He’s fast!

He was playing with dogshit AHL players getting <10 minutes a game. The kid was not given the opportunity to prove himself.

I’m not stressing out over this, it doesn’t change my life. Im critcizing what I believe to have been a major mistake for this team’s future. Even if Khus wasn’t a part of it, we did not come close to getting fair value for him.

I suggest you not get upset over people’s opinions on a message board, it’ll save you valuable stress. Should try it sometime.

I think Boeser is on roster tomorrow. Just too odd of a 2 for 1 with such low level players.

Vancouver being "underwhelmed" with offers is a tell.
Marat as on an ELC and was sitting in the AHL when this deal happened. We're not at 50 contracts. Both Lauko and new guy make shit.

Nothing about this is seeing up another deal. Just not enough pieces or cap involved.

Oh, I’m not upset at all, sugar. Just dumbfounded.

He created offensive opportunities, they didn’t get converted on because he was playing with career AHLers.

I wish there was an easy way to isolate his shifts. He’s the one player I specifically was focusing on the past 10-15 games because he was noticeably getting better.
