I have a theory of a possible reason for Keefe starting Matthews, Marner and Nylander on 3 different lines. Leafs often play like garbage when the opponent is below them. Maybe he’s trying to force Matthews, Marner and Willy to drive their own lines and hence play harder and also some internal competition of which line can perform best
