Drouin was never better then Hoffman OR Dado

Drouin should honestly just retire and go take care of his head.

I know some people were never fans of his style of play. He has baggage. He has dealt with mental health issues. I always believed he had very good vision and could create plays in the NHl.

He's now 27 and should be in the prime of his career. I know he missed a lot of time. Still, I was not expecting Hoffman and Dadonov who are 33 coming to camp in better shape than Drouin. Their time of reaction is slower than it was, but still better than Drouin who seems in a daze.

If Habs keep Drouin they need to make sure he get his shit together before he plays again. If not they need to find a classy way to part ways with him.

Not a Bergevin fan but as bad as that trade turned out, Drouin and Sergachev were kids and it’s not that easy to project. Either could have turned out different. Vous êtes sévères…

Anyhoot he’s not trending to get much ice or a big deadline return.

Could msl just save a bunch of time and teach while running the Powerplay during games (spare the paint on the ice)? How would that work? Could he just sign for the lowest possible amount and play? Was there ever a player coach in the nhl?

No one cares
I don't see teams back skating and waiting at center ice for 20 seconds before making a back pass to their own zone again. That alone kills around 40 seconds of PP time. I'm not opposed to backpasses, but usually, when other teams do it, the person receiving the pass is a lot closer and is already coming in with blazing speed.
I agree with you 100 percent, our execution of that useless drop pass is junior B level bad. We are so slow/bad at it that it defeats the purpose of why the play actually exists. Our forwards are left standing still alongside the opposing team waiting for the puck carrier, all it does it waste time. I would rather they executed the Michel Therrien strategy of dumping and chasing while on the pp.

Yup! Bet over on Proline. Probably going to allow at least 5 goals and hopefully we can score 3.

Wideman is not really that good in his own end. Savard is decent. Rest are rookies like you said. No matter how good our forwards are, it's going to result in turnovers in our own end.
Marner and Nylander play so fast that I feel our young D will need therapy after this game.

A few critics on Twitter are equating Marty’s paint on the ice to tactics used by peewee coaches. It’s going to be a long season.

Classy how? He isn't above being placed on waivers just like any other player who doesn't have his shit together

His lack of work ethic is what always got me. He has always played like he didn't give a crap save for a game here and there. He has the talent to be a regular 70-point player but he's not willing to do the work to be there.

For whom? A fast start and those same naysayers will be the first at launching Cup parade planning….

Only hopes I hear or read about are for a slow steady climb, that it actually eventually works out and hopefully doesn’t take 5 years. Props to you if it turns out you’re the one in a million who predicted a fast start and it happens though..

It's tactics used in a lots of sport during practices to help visualize things. Including at the professional level and professional Hockey is, again, way behind...
