•Leafs get a DFD to compliment Gardiner, give up two B prospects and a 2nd - I feel that this price is fair, but could quite easily be beat, willing to include different prospects
•Leafs pay to dump Zaitsev, re-gain a 5th, which they lost in the Hutchinson trade
•Leafs acquire Hudon for the rumoured ask, he is used as an extra for the year with the hopes that he can contribute next season when guys depart

Zaitsev plays about 20 mins a night, gets the toughest shifts and is on top PK ...the hatred towards him is unwarranted.
He doesnt carry the puck like he did his first season because he is playing a different role, and doing a relatively fine job.
He is not a salary dump player, he is a valuable commodity to the Leafs, except for blind hatred (similar to Gardiner)

1st trade is a huge overpayment for Gudas, but compared to Zaitsev, he sucks at actually playing defense, but, he's tough (Don Cherry approved)

Good thing it doesn't matter what a bunch of random posters here think about his value. Much worse players have been moved before.

A lot of posters here screamed bloody murder there was no way the Leafs could acquire a top pairing D without moving Willie and a 1st or more.... that turned out to be dead wrong yet again.

There has already been more then enough baseless speculation. Logic says he gets moved by the draft if he does get moved. Rosen or Borgman could take his place at a fraction of his salary so we have the space to sign both KK and AJ.

There never has or will be any conformation of that. It is simply the guesswork of fans who dislike him. The only thing that apparently helps them feel better is to make up any reason they can to justify not enjoying the season.
