Remember when Manny was the best Center we had in the entire organization? Oy Veh. Despite the poor record, the franchise has more talent and depth.

Glad to have him back. Hopefully he can make to Cbus!

Choosing to sign Pahlsson over him (to "upgrade") is one of my all-time least favorite transactions. Above not giving Whitney the 4th year.

Solid Centerman back in the day, was a fanboard favorite for his faceoff and tough two way play. Dubinsky is like a 400 grit version of Manny with a little more finishing ability.

Liked Manny as a Jacket.

Remember this war room b.s.

This was nice, before HD!

Is this strictly a minor league deal and nothing else or if he plays well in the AHL, Columbus will then sign him to a 1 year NHL deal? Any chance he signs with Columbus and then they send down Wennberg to further develop his game?

My heart says Manny belongs on the Jackets, he's just one of us. But I honestly haven't really paid a ton of attention to him in the past few years eye injury notwithstanding. So I don't know that he's a better option than what we have.

But man, seeing him in Union Blue again would feel great :D

He was still winning 58-60% of his faceoffs over the past couple of years so he's at least really good at that if nothing else.

There's a reason he's on an AHL PTO despite being a free agent for the past five months. I wish him the best, but to think he'll be in the NHL lineup is wishful thinking.

True but, it would be a nice feel good story for him to somehow hit 1,000.
