Man, I hate Adidas/Fanatics..

Its been annoying that since Reebok took over it is a nightmare to actually get your hands on what they wear on-ice (The jersey's sold are made in Indonesia, the ones players wear on-ice are Canadian made). I own two of the new Adidas (Rielly Arenas and Tavares Away), but I know they aren't of the quality players actually wear.
exactly , passing the indo off as authentic is dead wrong, and i would think illegal.
Isn't there something that can be done about it? it's false advertising! they have a fight strap that is worthless and different compared to the authentic made in canada jersey, , it's only there to fool the customer into buying what he/she think is the real deal.

Yeah, its annoying because legit authentics is actually not sold. I've heard the only ways to get your hands on the current on-ice authentics is if you have a connection to the team you want training/equipment manager. I've seen some hit the market through r/hockeyjerseys but it is almost impossible to find the team you want. I can only remember seeing a batch of made-in-Canada Avs jerseys. Good luck getting your hands on a team as in-demand as the Leafs.

Maybe I'm too much of a casual fan, but I never need to have the "latest style" of jersey. The difference in style (at least for my team) are so minute I just can't warrant shelling out more than $50 for it. When and if my jersey either wears down, or if I feel I need something "new" or "different" I just browse ebay and snag up some old style CCM for 20 bucks. This isn't soccer after all were jerseys pretty much change every year. In the NHL, most of the times nothing or barely anything at all changes even when manufacturers change of course with a few exceptions (going from loose fitting jerseys to snug with piping was a pretty big change, but still).

I'm not sure what size you're planning to order but for regular season Adidas jerseys, the crests are sized a bit smaller and considered as "youth" (or womens) unless you buy size 50 and larger.

I suggest wait until old stock are gone if you're planning on getting one smaller than size 50.

Instead of this bs they should make the ratio of the crest to the jersey always the same.

Do you guys know any good EU-shops by accident? I'm struggling to get good quality jerseys in general since they are obviously really expensive plus the shipping prices are huge.

Not sure if this thread is the exact place to ask, but I've been casually looking for the legit Nike white blank 2010 Team Canada Olympics jersey in large.

Any insight on where I could best find something would be greatly appreciated - I understand as time passes, it's gonna be harder and harder to find, and it's kind of the big one I regret not getting when it was available.

So the authentics are pretty worthless? A few years back I got some Canadian edge jerseys which I guess were just before they started selling the Indonesian ones. Those are great. But they’re the terrible apron design. I’d love to get a modern one, but don’t want to spend authentic money on a replica jersey.

So what is coolhockey.com's vip service?

For $50 on a $200 order, it better be something special.

If you’re referring to Adidas authentics, I wouldn’t exactly say they’re worthless. I imagine most casual jersey buyers are just fine with them. But if you’re a pretty hardcore jersey collector who appreciates quality, it’s frustrating not to be able to buy what the players wear. I know I’m in the minority, so I can’t speak for everyone, but as someone who buys only authentics (I have close to 200 pro authentic and gameworn jerseys), I find it annoying that Adidas won’t offer true authentics to the public, and what they are selling and calling “authentic” is really far from it. The only good thing I see here is that at least Adidas lowered their price for retail authentics compared to what Reebok was asking for their Indonesian-made “pseudo-authentics.” The Reeboks were initially retailing for around US$300, but Adidas has dropped their price for the Adizeros to below US$200, which is more in line with their quality level, that is to say, slightly better quality than a replica, but significantly lower than a $300 true authentic.

There wasn’t a 2012 Olympics, but there was in 2010 (Vancouver) and 2014 (Sochi). If you are referring to either the 2010 or 2014 jerseys, feel free to contact me privately. (Too complicated to get into here.)

This past May I purchased myself a Mitch Marner Adizero Jersey and the Sport Chek store I went to in the Toronto area was charging $249.99 before the tax.

The prices I quoted were for blank jerseys; a lettering job will significantly increase the price, so what you paid is essentially below the figures I quoted if you take into account the customization. Also, back in May US$200 was worth almost $260 CAD, so if you got a lettered jersey for $250 CAD, that’s not an unreasonable deal.

The cost for a Male Leafs Adizero jersey at Sport Chek without a name and number is $199.99 before the tax. However I'm looking at their website now as I type this and they are also charging $209.99 for the Maple Leafs Adizero Stadium Series jersey without a name or number.

Do you men the 2014 Sochi Olympics?

Jersey Baron's eBay store has some. He is legit. Although, you're going to be paying retail price. jerseybaron.com, he's got size large. I believe, he's also got the authentic "on ice" version in size 56. You might have to investigate how those Nike jerseys fit, but going off memory they were pretty known for being pretty snug so I wouldn't be surprised if a 56 fit close to a large. (Don't take my word for it though)

You could probably score one in what I would imagine would be the 50 dollar range on eBay if you just keep an eye out for an auction.

I'm the same way.

There's a perception that if you have hockey jerseys, you're a sucker who paid 200-300 dollars for a shirt. For a lot of people, this isn't the case. There are so many deals out there. It seems like a buyer's market to me. Rarely have I paid more than 50 bucks for a jersey.

Changed my post to reflect properly - meant 2012, but thanks to everyone who's responded to me. I should know better than to post late at night from my phone. Thanks, everyone! And any further information is always appreciated.
