This might just be a Canadian NHL Shop thing, but ever since adidas took over the selection has been utter crap. It seems the prices went up for the authentics, and the quality of the replicas are such shit, lol. I remember when Reebok was doing things and I never had a problem finding multiple players’ jerseys and every jersey, even the thirds and authentics, were customizable. Now, there’s maybe one or two customizable jerseys, the thirds so far are not customizable and the Sharks third doesn’t even come with a preset players name for the authentic. The Fanatics replica comes with a name, but only Pavelski, and no option to customize. It seriously sucks. I want an OFFICIAL adidas climalite THIRD jersey in a size 44/46 with ERIK KARLSSON’s sexy ass name and number on the back. What I don’t want is a cheap replica Pavelski jersey or a blank climalite jersey or a Burns jersey in a size 52/54/56, lmao.

Is it just me that’s experiencing this? What’s the selection/customization like for other teams? I wish the Canadian NHL Shop had all 3 of San Jose’s authentic jerseys available and customizable.

Personally I would stay away from the NHL Shop website because it's basically another site for Fanatics and their service was horrible. So have you looked at Cool Hockey's website to see if they are any better? From what I have read a lot of people seem to think they are a great site for purchasing NHL jerseys online.

THANK YOU! I just checked out their website and it’s much better. Unfortunately they don’t have the third available yet, but they do have the option to customize the official adidas one, home or away, and they list Canadian dollars. This is great. I’ll have to wait for the third since I have enough home jerseys, but this is awesome.

You're welcome and I was happy to help.

Don't be such a fanboy, express yourself as yourself.

I'm not sure what size you're planning to order but for regular season Adidas jerseys, the crests are sized a bit smaller and considered as "youth" (or womens) unless you buy size 50 and larger.

I suggest wait until old stock are gone if you're planning on getting one smaller than size 50.

I’d echo the statement to stay away from NHL.com for anything Jersey related.
They are also horrible with their shipping. In October 2014 I once purchased a Leafs shirt I had been looking for and they had a special where it was free shipping to those living in Canada. I thought to myself what can go wrong it's on a shirt? It turns out a lot was wrong. Their website said it was in stock and would ship within 2-7 days. That never happened so after 2 weeks I call them asking what's going on? The person on the phone says they could see the order and asks if they want it to be sent right away? I said cancel the order if I need to be asked that. I was told no problem and assume that's what happened. A few days later I get an email saying the order can not be cancelled and nothing saying when the item will be shipped. I call again to complain and finally get someone who cancelled the order and saw a confirmation that had been done. About 1 week after that I get another email from them saying the shirt was shipped, along with a tracking number that didn't work and my credit card was charged, since the payment from PayPal was deducted from my account. So I call them once again and they refunded the money and said I can keep the shirt if I still wanted to. Finally once the shirt arrives there was a stain on it which I only saw when looking closely at it, so thankfully I didn't end up paying for it.

Yup can vouch for Cool Hockey. I’ve bought two jerseys from there and I’ve had no issues. Very good quality.

Can’t say I like the adidas jerseys. I wanted to get one in my usual size, because I like the baggy ness of a jersey. It felt like it was two sizes too small.

Granted, I’m a bigger guy, but that’s a bit ridiculous.

Question: I am in the US but do I have the option to pay in Canadian dollars? My thinking is the favorable exchange rate could save me money as opposed to USD as my bank/card gives me the honest exchange rate and like a $1 foreign transaction fee. If not is there a legit seller north of the 49th parallel where I can do that?

I refuse to buy any Fanatics/Adidas crap and haven't given the NHL a cent in over 3 years.

Me too, and it's actually kind of sad.

I'd like to contribute more, especially to my favorite team.. but i'm spending over 100 dollars, and especially now that I live in Canada.. probably $150+ for a jersey that's meh.

I like to browse ebay and search for cool classics, my recent one was an Owen Nolan jersey, circa 96.. ccm too.

I was hoping adidas would improve the quality, but nope.

Hell, even when we won our back to back Cups I didn't buy one thing and spend one cent.

Fanatics/Adidas and their overpriced garbage can suck it IMO.

I think the exchange is generally based on where the item is being shipped. If you got it shipped to a Canadian address you might be able to pay $C, but then you might also have your bank wondering why a Canadian address is using your card. Wouldnt the item be priced to exchange anyways? If you paid $US on the website, shouldnt it be the equivalent?
