Inside job?

It's also the franchise that gifts rings, so it'd be up to ownership whether Malkin gets new ones.
Considering Malkin is one of the top 3 or 4 players who've ever worn the Penguins sweater and shown a degree of loyalty few others have demonstrated by spending his entire career there, I'm pretty sure they'll accommodate whatever he requests.

What's sad is i'm sure Malkin would gladly pay 10 times whatever ridiculously low amount the thieves are gonna end up getting for the rings to have them back.

No serious collector is gonna want to buy 1/1 unique memorabilia that's been publicly stolen. They have 0 value as of now.

Apparently it was in a safe, that was open while the alarm and cameras happened to be down at the same time. That's some pretty lucky timing for the thieves for all those things to happen at once. I can see them jamming the alarm and cameras but the safe being open as well either is really shit luck or an inside job or some sort of insurance fraud...

"The alarm system and cameras at the home happened to be down at the time of the break-in and his safe had been kept open, sources say. "

I feel bad for him.

I don’t care how rich and successful he is, no one’s home should be violated like that. It’s a horrible feeling. Whoever did it is pure scum.

Sucks..soft crime.laws enable these acts unfortunately
This ain’t it buddy.

This isn’t due to a lack of legal deterrents. There are plenty.

i really hope these criminals are caught immediately and properly punished with a slap on a wrist and a desk ticket. Need to set an example for all other outlaws out there.
Best they can do is a metro card and some Mets tickets if they show up to court again.

Holy f*** that is a horrendous theft. Hopefully they r caught soon. Those aren't valuable to most theives as most people won't buy them due to them being stolen.
I would imagine they'd likely "chop" them... remove the diamonds and sell them and melt down the metal.

Hopefully they get found out before this can happen.

Doesn't matter if the person is rich or poor, anyone who steals from others are just trash and deserve every bad thing that happen to them.
