Pittsburgh Penguins' Evgeni Malkin's home broken into, Stanley Cup rings missing
Evgeni Malkin is the latest professional athlete to have their home targeted or broken into.

That's why you give those rings to your mom and dad
Thanks officerToo early say but authorities suspect a highly organized crime ring was involved
I agree. Less police will = less crime...not a nice response from me, but ya, at this point I feel like pro athletes should maybe have a plan for the criminals known to be targeting athletes.
Let’s just spend another trillion militarizing our police more, it’s worked so well the past 50 years. Definitely stopped this from happening.
Absolutely sucks, I feel bad for Malkin, but ima get those points out there regardless.

This post was brought to you by the great minds who think the Sabres have very good players, and (for purely institutional reasons) the oppressive billionaire is why they're last in the standings. It’s almost like there are many other factors that make up a society, and if you neglect those you might see a spike in crime. Currently we just keep buying ineffective bandaids for wounds that grow ever worse, but please, don’t let me stop you from your basic dichotomous worldview.
Anyway, don’t wanna swing this too far off-topic, so I’ll leave it there. Infinite police, this guy gets it. Don’t worry about schooling, wages- more police, we’re almost there!
Just talking out of my ass here, but I'd imagine they'd deconstruct the ring apart and sell the diamonds separately, and plenty of jewelers wouldn't ask questions.Holy f*** that is a horrendous theft. Hopefully they r caught soon. Those aren't valuable to most theives as most people won't buy them due to them being stolen.

It's also the franchise that gifts rings, so it'd be up to ownership whether Malkin gets new ones.
And what if THEY are the target of a break in?That's why you give those rings to your mom and dad
The FBI says these crimes mirror the tactics used by South American criminal gangs. Very sophisticated.
