Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final is upon us this Monday. It's been a hell of a ride so far.

Everyone counted Edmonton out in October after their terrible start. And against Vancouver after going down 3-2. And against Dallas after going down 2-1. And definitely in the finals after going down 0-3, yet here we are. Firing on all cylinders - momentum on their side, they have to be feeling good about themselves heading into game 7.

Florida. True - they just gave up a 3-0 lead in spectacular fashion, but if you had asked at start of year, or start of finals - if Florida would take a game 7 in SCF they'd jump on it. They are home. It all comes down to 1 game. People definitely shouldn't overlook them, they are absolutely stil in this.

So - lots of ways this can play out. What's your prediction? Who wins game 7, and is it a close game or not?

It's not looking great for the Panthers. McDavid has Barkov figured out and is firing on all cylinders, and the rest of the team also dominating. Not sure what it would take for the Panthers to win, probably a massive game by Bobrovsky and basically the whole roster upping their game in dramatic measure.

if the Oilers score one early it will get ugly IMO

I think the first 10 or 15 minutes will indicate who will win and how the game will generally unfold if there is at least one goal in that span and one team has the lead.

If FLA scores early, they'll have the momentum back and will have a good shot at winning.

If EDM scores early, Bobrovsky might be rattled, and I think they'll continue to pour it on.

If there's no scoring in the first 15 minutes or the teams are tied 1-1 or 2-2, then it'll be harder to predict. In that case, I'll go with the team that has the best player.

My guess is EDM leads after the first and extends the lead and then (like usual) the Oilers sit back and play defensively. I say FLA gets back in it and makes a big push but falls short. 5-2 EDM with one empty netter. Three point game and Conn Smythe for Connor McDavid.

At this point I don’t even know anymore. I actually think we’ve started strong in both game 4 and 5 where we forechecked early got PPs hit posts and made Skinner make some sick saves. But then in said good starts we shot ourselves in the foot both times on the pp by giving up atrocious shorties…after that, complete momentum swings the Oiler’s way and we’ve crumbled. Game 5 we made a push but ultimately too little too late. Game 6 we were absolute horseshit. Mcdavid wasn’t even that noticeable and we still got hammered. Yeah I don’t know. I’d like to think these guys have some pride for themselves and the logo on the jersey at least and put up a valiant effort. Guess we’ll see..it’s anyone’s game now.
