Montreal treated their homegrown son well in his final visit. With a giant standing ovation after a tribute video in the closing minutes that delayed faceoff for a minute or so, another ovation after he completed the shutout and a third after announced 1st Star.

Additionally became 1st player ever to record a shutout as a teen and in their 40s.

Some Habs fans on this board drive u crazy and the shit against D. Reinbacher after his draft/injury was anything but classy.

BUT that was an incredible moment, cudos to that crowd.

but isn't it possible that MAF gets traded at the trade deadline onto a team that will play the Habs again?

Best city in hockey. Fans know hockey and honour the greats. Must be a dream for guys to play there.

there is a huge difference between an HF fanbase and a fanbase I see it in Toronto everyday. Talking to my coworkers, neighbours, friends, family etc, who are mostly leaf fans, is like a night and day difference between talking to them here.

And it’s the same all over these boards.
