Reading comprehension must not be your strong suit.

I’ll just keep calling you a dumbass if you think that the play in front of Skinner was acceptable today, regardless of who was in net.

17 shots on a trash eastern conference team, including 2 total in the third, which included a power play where they had zero shots and gave up a 2 on 0. Just ignore that though.

Derangement syndrome.

Repeatedly have said that we need to upgrade on him and he hasn’t been good enough. In the GDT and PGT.

You’re just so far gone that literally any criticism of a player not named Skinner gets morphed in your small brain as “defending” Skinner.

You’re a fool, frankly.
100%

Its a disease at this point. These people are a hive mind in their hatred.

what would Skinner be rocking if he was playing for Chicago this year? .880?
The real answer is like one of those brain teaser code games.

Hints:
“The decimal is in its correct place.”
“One number is in its correct place, two are not.”
“The zero is not in its correct place”.

Solve.

Dude, stop looking at charts and watch the game
This one wasn’t close…they gave up multiple breakaways, 2 on 1s and not one but TWO 2 on 0s
Ersson had a WORSE save percentage than Skinner and what did the Oilers do?

Took 2 shots in the 3rd..TWO, on a bad goalie
Must be Stu Skinners fault...yes? ;)

What an embarrassing game for this team. They got their ass kicked by a bottom feeder in the Eastern Conference.
Bad Bouchard showed up and was directly responsible for 2 goals against. Knoblauch was right to bench him and IMO that benching should have lasted longer than it did.

This team lost puck battle after puck battle...mismanaged the puck throughout the game...made poor defensive decision after poor defensive decision.
They gave up a 2 on 0 while they were on the PP!
Philly had 4 players on the ice and two of them had the puck with no Oiler players between them and Skinner.
What a f**king joke.

The score flattered them IMO...should have been 8-3.

I dont give a shit who is in net....if they show up like that against the Caps and the final score will be much much worse.

Derangement: Believing a goalie with below average stats who had another below average game is a below average goalie.

Not derangement: The opposite of the above, somehow.

O.K.

It’s “deranged” because you focus on a singular player and scapegoat him for the loss absolving the entire team
They all played bad..from the goalie on out…but it’s the same “omg Skinner sucked!” tired, lazy narrative that continues here

If it wasn’t obvious, hopefully management is finally getting it that a goaltending upgrade is a priority.

I find it a little troubling that the team doesn’t even get upset when they play these types of games. Doesn’t seem like management, coaches or players really give much of a sh*t.

Yeah exactly. Skinner was bad, but he was every bit as bad as everyone else around him.

We could've resurrected prime Jacques Plante this game but we probably lose in OT or a random bounce in regulation. The team thoroughly deserved the result.

I agree...they did totally deserve this result.

I mean how on earth do you manage to give up a 2 on 0 when you have the PP?
That play encapsulated their brutal puck management and decision making in this game.

Skinner should have had one of those goals. So one mistake IMO.
The team around him....absolutely brutal.
The score flattered them. If not for a few big saves in the 3rd this game could have been 8 or 9-3.
By far the worst game they have played this season.

Hopefully it gets their attention because they werent exactly playing sound hockey before the break either.

Screw the canucks can't even help us out lol. What a joke franchise.
Its always good to see the team get some help...but...

The Canucks lost to one of the best teams in the NHL.
The Oilers lost to one of the worst teams in the NHL.

This team should be helping themselves by beating a bad team instead of relying on a rival to beat a very good team.

It's an 82-game slog, they know some games are gonna be bad and they know when they've been bad. They keep it even keel in their unending media scrums because they have the training for it.

These guys are mostly very mentally resilient; that's how they made the NHL over other similarly talented players. They don't run around celebrating like they won the cup after every win (well maybe Philly does after this one) so why should they be on suicide watch after every loss?

Funny thing is, there were a few instances were they actually bothered to play, and they completely torched the Flyers during those bits.
The first stretch was from the equalizer to the end of the first period, the Flyers couldn't handle them at all. Then they fell asleep again coming out for period 2, got scored on twice, but came back and where once again in control, before one botched play put them behind again. Afterwards they never regained their footing.

The team-defense was a complete tire-fire. Peak Hasek would have had trouble getting a win out of this.
Maybe you can hope for your goalie to stop one or two of these goals against, to stop chances he shouldn't even have to face, much less a constant stream of them. Needless to say, Skinner couldn't be the one who the team needed yesterday, which would have been a world-beater. In the end, the loss isn't on him, not with the utter desaster that happened in front of him. The defensive effort was non-existant, and the offense disappeared completely at a time where it should have been the most urgent.

It probably couldn't hurt if the Oilers had another good option in net, and not just a decent backup as second option. But if a performance like yesterday happens in a playoff game, it doesn't matter who is in net, because that is a guaranteed loss.
