McDavid had very little to do with the goals against today. Other than Him, Leon and Savoie, the rest of the team at some point looked putrid.

What I have a hard time understanding is you have a guy who just barely 2 days removed from playing in an all out war, shows up and had more energy than the idiots who were sipping Mai Thais in Cabos. Not any of them were pumped to come out swinging with McDavid in his first game back. It must be so depressing for 97 and 29 to look at this roster up and down and realize they have to once again drag these losers to the end.

Stick Savoie on the top 2 and get RNH or Podkolzin the fxxx out of there permanently. These castoffs should be grateful they have these 2 guys dragging them to the playoffs every year. Fxxx this management.

Absurd that they played Connor in this game. I get that he wants to play but he played a massive game like 30 something hours ago and probably got hammered drunk after. Knobloch needed to show some spine and pull rank on that.

Playing him was fine and expected. He just didn't need to be leading the forwards in TOI this morning.

I'm being biased here but Matthew Savoie was the 2nd best forward going into the 3rd period and he only got 3 minutes of ice time! When the Oilers pulled the goalie, Viktor Arvidsson was the extra on the ice and not him..

I see people, myself included talking about the piss poor defensive play more than anything, i dont see anyone saying Skinner was anywhere close to good today. I do see people ignoring the way the team played in front him though and just spitting out his SV% like it exists in a vacuum.

Like this was the worst game the Oilers played in the post covid era bar none.

The PK has been BAD, the PP has been BAD, too many give aways, inconsistent goaltending, blown leads, bad first periods/starts. It's not the end of the world, but the team is far from it's peak performance right now.

the game likely changes if the oilers fire more shots at the philly goalie, his SV% was worse than skinners.
