awful effort...doubling down on a bad performance against the Avs
-Bouchard is completely lost right now...the worst d-man on the team by far
-Skinner didn't make a big save
-not enough shots
-poor PP
-poor PK
-turnover city...one of the worst "attention to details" game of the year

did they bother to practice the last couple days? they didn't look ready to go in this game

McD a minus 3

Klingberg goal, assist ,+2 and yet got the lowest TOI on D

We win this game if Stecher was playing instead of Bouchard.
Absurd that they played Connor in this game. I get that he wants to play but he played a massive game like 30 something hours ago and probably got hammered drunk after. Knobloch needed to show some spine and pull rank on that.

Well that was beyond awful. Embarrassing effort and humiliating result against a lottery team. In what could be a season defining road trip against some of the EC’s best teams, this was not the way to start out. Atrocious game by Bouch, no one had any jump, had 18 shots against a goalie who was clearly fighting it. So much for the team just needing a break to rest guys and right the ship. This is a disturbing trend that needs to end right now.
His number should be greatly reduced after this. If not, get rid of him before he's an expensive shiny anchor.

I was frankly surprised he was playing. I fully expected him to come out of the lineup when Savoie was announced to make his debut.

I don't see evidence that this team is ready to take the next step. Nights off on a consistent basis, consistently inconsistent goaltending, star dman that shows the least effort/heart out of any player in the league bar none.

This is year 9 of the McD era. We can't play like this against shitter teams.

Poor game today, a bunch of passengers and poor performances

It's either a bad loss out of the break and they can regroup tomorrow or the season is over, impossible to know.

Going to chalk this one up to a whole lot of rust coming back, and also a tired looking McD. It's all I've got. The only good I can take out of this, is that Savoie looked pretty decent. Made some really smart plays and kept up with the play. Other than that, shove this one into the garbage can and get focused for tomorrow.

Shine is starting to wear off the Knob, could use some polish. The forward corps should be producing a lot more than they have been. Not being put in the opportunities to succeed (see Skinner, J.)
