An all around disaster-class this morning.

-Forwards couldn’t generate shots to save their lives
-We gave up an insane amount of odd man rushes and backdoor tap in opportunities
-Didn’t get the big save when we needed it

Should’ve just rested McDavid. He looked like he needed it.

This thread will probably be 20 pages shitting on Stuart Skinner but ironically goaltending is the only thing we were better than Philly at in this game.

Skinner was absolutely sensational after he let in the 5th goal.

Bouchard was so terrible tonight.

Klingberg was really good.

Drai was decent.

Savoie was good for his debut.

Hyman was MIA

McDavid wasn't really noticeable.

Hopefully they play better tomorrow and Picks can hold the fort better than Skinner.

the flyers 2nd and 3rd goals given to them by poor defensive play, a drai pass to no one leading to the flyer outskating the D and getting a breakaway and then the 3rd goal bouchard just letting the flyer skate into a tip in situation, the 4th goal was a turnover from janmark and a 2 on 1 situation. then of course 17 shots all game.

The flyers did a great job of isolating oilers and creating odd man situations in front of the net.

Any game with Skinner lowering his save percentage is good because it embarrasses the front office into having to take the position seriously. I’ll take the loss.

Well that was beyond awful. Embarrassing effort and humiliating result against a lottery team. In what could be a season defining road trip against some of the EC’s best teams, this was not the way to start out. Atrocious game by Bouch, no one had any jump, had 18 shots against a goalie who was clearly fighting it. So much for the team just needing a break to rest guys and right the ship. This is a disturbing trend that needs to end right now.

The second period was one of the worst on the year. I think the first game against Winnipeg and that Minnesota game in November are the only comparables. The third period was somehow worse. We’ve been good in the second all year. Team needs to snap out of it for tomorrow schedule comes at you fast.
