Avs. MacKinnon has been the best player in the NHL over the last two seasons, so that splits the difference for me.

Could there possibly be a more hypocritical response?

How is Nelson a superior player today vs Bennett, especially when we’ve seen Bennetts value in the playoffs?

& if you have Nelson as superior player to Bennett then you have to rank Lundell clearly ahead of Coyle today.

Lundell makes up for the best 3rd line in the league and Maurice can match them up against anyone and take pressure away from the top lines

But go ahead just keep laughing and provide nothing else, it’s business as usual

Mackinnon is the best player from the list but you easily take Bennett- Lundell for playoff run over Nelson- Coyle if we live in the present

Ummm Nelson is like a 70-75 point a year guy and a multiple 30 goal scorer. Bennett is like a 55 point player who hasn't scored 30 once in his career.

Sure Lundell is better than Coyle this year, but Coyle had 60 points last year. That's more than Lundell has ever had.

I love fans who go by blind stat watching

Yeah because Bennetts game is all about points……
He’s build for playoffs and he’s proven himself in the playoffs, no team like to see Bennett lead line in the playoffs, you know it’s going to be painfull every night and on top of it he brings in the points.

Coyle is 33 and having a tired season, you’re not getting prime Coyle again, Lundell on the other hand is 23 and starting his prime

Even you’d have to admit you’d take Lundell over Coyle defensively without even thinking for a second

On top of that Lundell had 41 points in 64 games this season, Coyle has 23 points in 67 games. But sure they are equal….. just like Nelson is superior to Bennett

Also Lundell had 17 points in 24 postseason games last year but again instead of the players who are in their prime and proven themselves in the biggest games of the year let’s go the other way. Because it’s not bias

Rather than just laughing I’d suggest watching some games

I watch plenty of games. Find a new angle.

You’d never know

When you bring up offensive stats only when we are talking about Bennett

When you have 2 well past 30y players vs 28y& 23y olds and you ignore age completely and the idea of that you’re not getting the past performance anymore. We both know why you ignored it, it would have hurt your argument

Ok but it's a significant difference in production, specifically goal scoring as well. Hitting and fighting doesn't make up 20 points of difference... Nelson isn't just some offensive specialist either.

Coyle scored 60 LAST YEAR. It's not ancient history.

Also, they're both 33. Why are you just making things up? 36 years old?

The MacKinnon factor tips the scales. Only McDavid is better (and that gap is closing).
*in the regular season.

McDavid ran laps around the league in the RS his entire career and got shit on. MacK wasn't even his teams best player when they won the Cup and has done nothing since in the PS but hey, "the gap is closing". The only gap closing is Drai passing him.

Give me Bennett and Lundell over Nelson and Coyle. Pretty easily too.

Mack has the edge over Barkov but it’s close, especially when you factor in Barkov being the best defensive forward in the game while also being a threat offensively.

I’m taking the Florida trio.
