I think skating that much for 10 minutes vs. 5 just makes you so much more tired. It’s abnormal, your traversing more ground and your number is called to get out there and skate your hardest more. So I can see why Nate wouldn’t want that.

..but does it actually increase injury rate or recovery time? I think we see fewer injuries in OT (fewer bodies) and it should be more cardio exhaustion than muscles, but I’m not a pro athlete so idk shit.

Seriously I was a bit pissed at him for that. Sweden seemed to understand that 3 vs 3 is a possession game where you want to create the highest quality chances, MacK doesn't understand that assignment. He feels its a "get shots in" game which can work of course if you snipe it in on the first try but every time he would miss the opponent got the puck and then kept it for a while.

Why do you think it's stupid that people were questioning the 3-4 same plays that resulted in the same thing in overtime?
