Injury Report: MA Gragnani

Coach Jeff Daniels announced Wednesday that defenseman Marc-Andre Gragnani will miss the remainder of the season due to a nagging injury that he struggled with for most of the season. The 26-year-old, who won the AHL’s defenseman of the year award two seasons ago, had missed a total of 28 games over three separate, prolonged stints.

There are now eight players on the Checkers’ injured list, with two of those (Gragnani and Andreas Nodl) out for the season. Of the remaining six, Jerome Samson and Sean Dolan are skating, the latter in a limited capacity, with returns on forwards Luke Pither and Justin Soryal and defensemen Danny Biega and Michal Jordan still indefinite.
