Nice to see that finally the pundits on early morning SN590 and TSN1050 radio are ripping Matthews and Marner personally. Finally they are admitting what many of us here realized and were saying after the Columbus and Montreal series.
I know Twitter isn’t exactly the classiest place, but they’re going in hard on those two right now.

Our only hope for success in this era…..mcdavid coming here. This will only happen if he wins a cup with the Oilers. He’s too loyal.

Go Oilers!

The good news is, it’s a best of 2 now.

Do you think most of them just cleaned out their lockers and brought their clubs and speedos with them?

I think we can get a really good haul if we trade Matthews and Riley and then sign Marner and trade him as well
You can’t sign and trade a UFA - believe you need to wait until at least January to do that. Also Marner won’t ever go for that. You also won’t get as much as you think for Rielly - not after a down year defensively and the length he has left.

Marner is already gone - we let him walk for free the second we agreed to that NMC.

Yeah, they've checked out.

An early Panthers goal or two on Friday, and you're going to see the ultimate throwing in of the towel.

Mentally and emotionally, they're finished. Could see it on their faces and hear it in their voices.

From Sportsnet today:

"The Toronto Maple Leafs have 48 hours to prove they’re not who you think they are."

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

GFTO with that nonsense. They've proven who they are for 9 straight years and reinforced it yet again last night.

How many more times do they need to show the world who they are before everyone finally accepts it?

I've watched hundreds of games knowing the score in advance.

Even blowout losses like last night's. Because I enjoy watching hockey and the Leafs are my favourite team. I couldn't be bothered wasting my time on this game though.

At least I didn't waste my money.

Unlike the suckers who paid to witness such a pathetic performance. The saddest thing is most fans were expecting it. This is what happens when two of your three star players are indifferent to losing and the other is a crybaby.

What the fans want is simple.

We want what we were promised. A Stanley Cup contending team. Or we want accountability.

We ARE angry... we're F***ING angry.

Millions of hard working fans support this team and this is the best they could do. Then in post game interviews to be so passive about such a poor showing. The response of the fans shouldn't be an embarassment to the team.

But the team's response has been an embarassment to the fans.

Last night was expected based on what they’ve shown throughout their careers.

Woke up & still can't believe they dropped this big of a stinker.. Unless Marner & co show up for game 6 and a game 7.. Their legacy for the Toronto Maple Leafs is really going to be, great regular season player, non existent player come playoff

If they come out next week and say they want to try and run it back then we’ll know for sure that it’s a just behavioural science experiment.

No only a legacy, actually a fact.

Doesn't Rogers Communications own both SN and MLSE? There ya go.

It is do obvious, that good players like JT, Tanev, McCabe, Carlo, and roll players like McMann, Benoit do not follow the appointed leaders Mitchy, AM, Reilly.
Why? They don't lead? They separate from the rest? They are their own clic? They are selfish? I am unsure of the reason, but I am sure that teammates (except Domi) don't like them. Don't appreciate them! Won't go to war for them! Have uou ever seen them talk to other players on the bench. I have not.
I do know for sure, that if I was playing against them I would immediately dislike their arrogance, and I know without thinking that they can be easily neutralized, without push back or fear.
I would hate Tkachuk more, but I know I couldn't neutralize him, would have to watch my back from him and his mates.

Mike Johnson now on TSN1050 radio telling listeners he's a big Mitch supporter and he is surprised at Marner's play last night. F*** off you corporate shill.

Mitch got one shot on net last night, for a total of one in the last three games - besides all the other loser stuff he's (not) doing.
