You can see him here at 0:15
Well, he has every chance to do so. He's arguably the best prospect we have ever drafted as an 18 year old.I'm so glad that Kakko will play for New York Rangers. Hopefully he can become the face of their franchise. And maybe the new "king of New York". That would be so cool.
He did an interview with Renaud Lavoie on the French channel too, and Renaud's English is aready rough around the edges. It was short, but he did fine. Much better than first year Buchnevich anyway, lol. He'll be fine.
Oh please. Our biggest need right now is a center and I still wanted Kakko deep down even though I knew Hughes was best for us. And there's some of that on both sides of the aisle. You got a potential top 10 stud center down the line and we got a potential top 10 winger down the line, barring bad injuries or complete flukes. Either fans of either team would have been thrilled no matter what with this close 1/2 overall. I don't care who "wins" it looking back years from now. We're just all happy, fans of both teams, no matter who we preferred, because we both got likely studs.
Grats to you. Grats to us.
Now to find another center...
He seems happy to be in New York

I guess "King of NY" would have better ring to it than "King Kappo Kakko"I'm so glad that Kakko will play for New York Rangers. Hopefully he can become the face of their franchise. And maybe the new "king of New York". That would be so cool.

I'd like to see him on a line with Lias Andersson
Its been a little ridiculous how theyve paraded him around. Could you imagine the treatment Hughes would have got if the Rangers had won the lottery or the Devils took Kakko? They wouldnt let him sleep for a week.He looks and sounds overwhelmed a bit - completely understandably obviously. Couldn't help but notice he seemed a little nervous and awkward at the draft.
It'll be a real treat to watch him once he's settled in and used to living in NY. Bright times ahead.
you want to see Kakko on the 4th line?![]()
Lias is the ultimate example of how many people on hf truly just dont get team building, prospect growth and growing pains.I wish the general opinion about Lias would be better. This guy is a true leader and a very good all around player. Put him with skilled winger and his NHL career will sky rocket.

You should wish he was a better player. Finland used to produce those type of players and nothing else. Newer bet on jack of all trades, master of none.I wish the general opinion about Lias would be better. This guy is a true leader and a very good all around player.
