He should've been full time last year

We're all glad he's here now, but let's not go too far. He was pretty ineffective due to his size, or how he played his size more than just the first half of the season last year. He should have been full time this year... but everyone knew that, so it's a moot point. Holland went for depth. Who cares? If we're at our ideal in Jan... then he did more than his job. But Nyquist will play a large part in that determination.

Disagree. Nyquist developed and got used to the NHL last year because you have to play to adjust. You cant leave guys in the AHL and expect no adjustment period. All of a sudden he had an unreal playoff.

As for if we're where they need to be in January, I disagree as well. The wings just lost 7 games in a row. With the way the whole conference is playing if they would have won some of those games they would be up in first now and have a nice cushion. Nyquist comes up and takes them out of that slump and already has as many goals as Cleary and Samuelsson. You dont go for depth when the team isnt that good, and especially when a guy is 24 now

Err, Nyquist was fine physically last year. Two years ago he had some issue, but you could tell he was much stronger on the puck last year.
