All right folks, now that y'all have your shots and opinions in, if you want to debate the merits of instigating physical violence in an off-ice situation, this ain't the thread for it.

The conversation about the off ice incident is done at this time. This is your warning. This thread is to talk about McKenna and the upcoming draft.

Continue:

I was 100% right when I said McKenna wouldn’t be the unanimous #1 this year. Gotta pat myself on the back. I took a lot of heat in all the threads for years by saying this, but as I have always said when I am (it happens a lot) I was right. All the people who tried to clown on me then have been AWFULLY quiet.

I’m sorry has the draft already happened.

Nope. We are moving on instead of rehashing the same arguments over and over. If there is new news at some point a different thread can be started.
“Fun police” indeed

Soooo will McKenna still finish out the season with Penn State or is he away from the team/suspended until everything is sorted out?

It was just announced his preliminary hearing was postponed until March 11th. That is the first day of the Big Ten tournament. Its up to the school at this point whether they suspend him or not. I don't think anybody can have an educated opinion on whether he misses any time or not, because we just don't know. There are bylaws in place that the school "typically" has to abide by regarding these types of situations.

Damn we all missed the draft but Kreskin didn’t.

I didn't get to watch the WJC this year, and haven't really seen him play a whole heck of a lot. Recent incidents aside, is he a physical player? Eliteprospects has him listed at 6'0 and 170lbs. Maybe he has that lean muscle mass?

Potentially the least physical player in the draft

I respect the rules but people above my posts are simply having an honest Convo about if this affects where he plays I don't see the harm in this.
This whole thing isn't even the type of topic that brings out the troll types, nor is it political or a hot button issue.
People should be allowed to converse on anything as long as it's done in a respectable non gas lighting way and the jobs of the mods to punish the ones who don't.

Outright banning anyone talking about hockey related topics because people are bringing up the same thing seems like a bad precident since every thread has that issue since people don't go back and read a 100+ prior posts.

Just my two cents. I mean no offense just think it destroys the entire premise of this place, cheers.

First off I highly doubt that based on what I've seen when he played in the dub and second even if he was he's also the most skilled player in the draft and I'll take that all day.

No, he’s extremely frail and it’s the biggest limitation to his game
Frail? So he's sickly and often misses significant time?

I wasn't aware he missed a bunch of games last year when he had what a 150+ points? Has he missed a bunch of games this year?

Do you mean not physical?
I never saw that last year or this year.
He's skinny but once he's done growing he may naturally fill out or once drafted (hopefully by my nucks) they can put him around the best of the best to add weight without it impacting his game.

From reports Canucks really like him, I think they will be drafting him first overall if they get the pick. Ownership and Management need to get the fan base excited again, Mckenna does that. They will get a lot of shit if they pick Verheoff.

Frail is not the sane as sickly or injury prone. Despite being listed at 6'0 he's nowhere near that. I'd like to see him stand next to Bedard or someone who has been established to be 5'8 or 5'9 for comparison. He looked to be one of the shortest and skinniest players on the ice at the World Junior's, most of his teammates towered over him. A guy who's max 5'10/160 will need to outwork everyone on the ice to hold his spot in the NHL, let alone dominate.
