I think he only took 1 shift after his early goal in the 3rd as the NTDP basically started sitting guys due to the score. The coaches should have kept running up the score given the cheap shit BU kept pulling.

Yeah USA had a powerplay for the last 5 minutes because of the BU kept getting penalized
 
I was more impressed with the assists than the goals. Two high level feeds. We know he can score goals, but if he keeps making plays like that, he's going to be even more dangerous as a player.

Eiserman is such a big difference maker for the U18's. Their defense is so good that when you have a talent like Eiserman who can break a game wide open, they are going to be tough to beat. Much different dynamic than vs Western Michigan.

Coming into the season, I didn't think Eiserman was going to make the world junior team. Mostly due to their depth at forward. I'm not so sure about that now. He looks really good so far this year.

Eiserman looked great last night no doubt about it, he outclassed Celebrini last night for sure. I also think something is just flat out broken with that BU team right now

When it comes to the WJC team, it’s tough because he’s in a tough spot. He’s a very gifted player but he’s also not very versatile. He basically had to earn a top 6 spot on the wing. He’s not a penalty killer and not a matchup guy. So he basically had to beat out Leonard, McGroaty, Snuggerud, and Gauthier. I also don’t see him beating out guys like Brinkley or Howard. He had a really tough WJC camp so one of those guys would have to have a really tough first half for him to get in the conversation and all of those guys have started well. If we was more versatile, could kill penalties and was better in his own end, it’d be a different conversation

There will be some tough calls. If I were picking the team, he's making it hard for me to leave him off.

I don't think it has to be top 6 vs bottom 6 with this team. There's enough depth/talent where you can run 3 scoring lines. Gauthier should center one of the lines which opens up a LW spot. I see only McGroarty as a lock at LW. It could come down to two spots in the top 9 for Howard/Perreault/Eiserman. Howard is the '04, had the best summer camp, and has good chemistry with Nazar. He probably makes. I really like Perreault, but he never seemed to be in a position during the summer games that made it seem like he was a serious contender to make the team. I could be off base there and perhaps it was simply that they knew what they had with Perreault-Smith and wanted to see other combinations.

I could also see Eiserman as the 13th forward that you mix in to the lineup along with pp2 time. Similar to MacKinnon's usage in his draft year. It's not traditionally how it's done, but I don't think Eiserman hurts you in that role, and the potential payoff is high. They could opt for someone more versatile though as you suggest.

When the game are tight in the semis or the finals and you need a play, Eiserman can deliver the way some of the older guys simply can't. He had a fairly meh U18's, but at the end of the day, they don't win without his game tying goal.
 
I think he could make it, but Hagens is more likely. I’ve went through it a few times, and I think in like the most offensive team scenario where Cooley also isn’t loaned by the Coyotes, he probably has to beat out one of Hagens and Perreault for a spot.

I don’t see him playing much though, if picked. He’d have to beat out Howard additionally.

That’s a lot of players who all are either older or more versatile.

He needs 59 goals this season to break Caufield's NTDP career record. 73 goals would break Caufield's single season record.

He just recorded fourth hat trick in his first 10 games of the season. 16 goals so far on the season. And he missed most of one of those 10 games after being injured.

There is no guarantee how many games the NTDP U18s or Eiserman will play as it depends on how they do internationally. 60 games is a good benchmark though, and if you assume Eiserman doesn't miss any others with injury (missed 2 so far) or the WJC, he'll have 49 more NTDP games on the season. If he maintains his current 1.6 GPG pace, that would put him at an insane 94 goal season, which would shatter both goal scoring records.
 
Believe it or not I haven’t been overly impressed with him in the games I’ve seen this year. The shot is truly elite but there’s some holes in his game outside that. Pretty clearly behind Celebrini and Demidov for me. I haven’t seen catton but I’d take him as well I think based off what I’ve heard about him.
