He got talked about a ton in the WJC threads. But you’re right, I love watching Mazur. I’d be shocked if he’s not in the NHL eventually.

Youre rihgt he did. I think hes gonna be one of those guys that kinda shows up in a couple years and is just solid and people are gonna wonder where the hell he came from. Theres a lot of NCAA kids that do that, I remember when Dumoulin was involved in that trade and people were wondering who the hell he was and now hes solid

He’s produced like a first round pick since he was drafted, only reason he’s underrated is because of being an overager when drafted. It doesn’t matter because he’s gonna obliterate the Ncaa this year and that doesn’t even take into account the intangibles he has.

I heard a Carter Mazur story that he hit someone in the face with a slapshot and broke the dude's teeth, but Mazur being the good guy that he is pulled out his own teeth with pliers and gave them to the guy with busted teeth. How can you not cheer for a guy like that? Future King Clancy winner.

He's 20, turning 21 this season. It's not like he's an 18 year old tearing up the NCAA. Hopefully he can continue to develop into a Bertuzzi like player.

Yeah and Marco Kasper turns 19 this season. What is the point of even mentioning it as if this isn't a true 20 year old season for Mazur?
For his age and draft position he's doing really well, and seems to play a well rounded game unlike many high scoring college/junior guys who have nothing but offense to bring.

Kid is living up to expectations. Buium having a good season as well in the offensive zone with 6 points in 8 games.

Starting to think you might see him get some games in Detroit to finish the season. I know hes only a sophomore but technically he was drafted as an overager and is the age a lot of guys go pro.

No harm in the tryout if he keeps this up. If he keeps this up he has nothing to prove with another year in college.
