WHY?

A center for a different center? Again, WHY?

Rather try to sign Lindholm in free agency, but really do we have any idea what BH's value really is? Might as well see if he can get back to where he was prior to the season!

The Panthers will have some salary problems with trying to keep the team together. What's the chance we can get Lundell from them?
Hayton will resign for 5 per year and Lundell will be 6.5ish. Maybe have to include some picks? Panthers need picks.

Lundell 6.5ish.. wtf.. More like 4

Huh? Lundell will get like 2.5M max, I can't see Hayton getting much more than that either

Lundell ain't getting 6.5mil per just yet.

Unless we are talking about a 8 year deal, which I doubt Zito even entertains.

Was thinking the priority would be Reinhart, Bennett and OEL. I believe Hayton would thrive with the Panthers. He might resign for 4 mill. Hayton, plus a second?

Just how silly these salaries have been. With the increase in cap salaries will get even more stupid.
Bennet isnt a UFS

They can give Lundell a low 3 yr bridge until bob ends his contract.

If they cant resign Reinhart then they ho higher.

Trading Bennett would be hella dumb, especially after he played a fairly crucial role in getting the Panthers their first cup. Given his counting stats, he shouldn't be all that expensive to re-sign; the real issue is term given his age and play style.

I'd guess the Zito offers him a 6-8 year LTIRetirement contract to keep the cap hit manageable; something like 7 years at 5.5-6M.

Lundell will just get a bridge deal

Hayton won't get anywhere close to that money and may not even get tendered at all. Lundell has been the far better player both defensively and offensively and will only grow into that role more. He also doesn't play with players like Keller and Schmaltz and doesn't really see time on the PP.

There is absolutely zero reason to do this for Florida, especially because Lundell has only ever played on the 3rd-ish line.

Florida hangs up and blocks the number and this coming from somebody who still kinda believes in Hayton.

Lundell just won a Cup scoring 17 points in 24 playoff games with a +8 while playing 14-15 minutes a night. He’s a stud and there is clearly so much more lurking under the hood once his role increases.

Hayton got all the top six minutes you could want this year and was such a dud offensively it’s almost mind-boggling. I do think some of that is due to turn a bit simply from positive regression of bad luck but Lundell is such a different class the Utah would have to add so many top picks to even things out that it would be absurd.

In what world would Lundell be worth 6.5 million? He doesn't produce anywhere near a top six forward and has regressed from his rookie season

Playing 3rd line usually dont make you produce like a Top6 player does it? 17p in 24gp in the playoffsis regression? Ooh and a +8 and Lord Stanley. Yeah - he is shit.

Makes no sense for FLA, unless Utah includes all three of their 2nds, and even then...

Lundell looks to be a very competent #3C, with potential to be a #2C in the future. Not flashy, but he plays the sort of game that teams win with. I was going to say a poor man's JEE, but if you look at the latter's stats, you can see a possibility that Lundell ends up being as good as JEE.

Barkov and JEE type down the middle is a damn nice foundation for your forward lines.

For Hayton?

Lundell just had 17 points in 24 playoff games which projects extremely well for him in the future. He has 54 games of playoff experience as a 22 year old, has won the President's trophy and been to the finals twice and won the SC. He isn't going anywhere.
