Guy’s in that grey area where he’s no longer a prospect but he’s not yet an established NHLer. Occasionally scratched and seemingly not finding any groove in Chicago but there’s still some upside there I think. Pens are looking to get younger and can take a chance on him if the price is reasonable. Would a 3rd get him? And also you take Heinen.

A third ? And Henien?

Why would they do that. You realize the Hawks have nothing but picks. This is brutal

Reichel sucks, but a 3rd or Heinen? Does nothing for Chicago.

I'd trade him for Glass. Hawks need a guy that can win draws.

Musto hates Reichel with the passion of a white hot sun.

As a Hawks fan, he's shwon enough with limited opportunities that I'd rather they hold onto him if the option is essentially giving him away.
It's not giving him away.

Glass wins faceoffs. He has more value to Chicago than Reichel.

Glass is a soon to be 26 yr old below average 4th line C who hasn't come close to replicating his anomaly 2022-23 season which was mostly because he was playing up in lineup on a offensively challenged Preds team (his 35 pts was 6th on team scoring)

He will be RFA with high qualifying offer (His current cap hit is $2.5M) that he is not worth

Trading much younger Reichel (3 years younger) for Glass is just dumb especially with Glass poor performance and fact he is likely to find himself on 4th team of his career soon. There is a reason Vegas, Preds and soon Penguins move on from him

Career trajectories look very similar. Reichel has been the 4C for the hawks for awhile, no?

Glass has been 2C/3C/4C/2RW throughout the season. To call him a below-average 4th line center is hilariously disingenuous. If that's all Glass is, I'm not sure what that makes Reichel...but it isn't good or valuable.

Reichel isn't a real center

Ah, so a 4th line wing?

Honestly, both Glass and Reichel's value is probably a 4th. We can nickel and dime that by picking apart .3ppg stats in the NHL but that's merely tying to reshape a soft turd.

Fact is, Penguins have plenty of Reichels in Lizotte, Acciari, Pono, and possibly Broz. We aren't paying anything serious for him. If anything, it's a friendly "hey Kyle, can we see if a change of scenery will help him?" situation.
